PETACH-TIKVA, ISRAEL – Seculert, the cloud-based advanced threat detection company, today announced that it has been selected as a SINET 16 Innovator and will present at the 2012 SINET Showcase, on Oct. 25 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. The Security Innovation Network (SINET) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate and designed to advance innovation and enable collaboration between the public and private sectors to defeat global cybersecurity threats.
Seculert is a cloud-based advanced threat detection company that discovers malware and Advanced Persistent Threats that have gone undetected by bypassing existing security solutions. Seculert operates with no software or appliances, resulting in a low TCO. Because Seculert intercepts and collects actual communications between your network and live botnets, there are no false positives.
Seculert was chosen as a SINET 16 Innovator out of 80 emerging technology companies that were vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee. Applicants were competing for the opportunity to present innovative and potentially disruptive cybersecurity solutions to an audience of representatives from defense, homeland security, intelligence and civilian federal agencies as well commercial, investment and research communities. Seculert will be one of sixteen companies presenting on stage.
“Seculert has always been a strong supporter of the idea that the public and private sector must collaborate in order to defeat cybersecurity threats, particularly in this new age of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and recent state-sponsored cyber attacks,” said Dudi Matot, co-founder and CEO of Seculert. “As such, it’s a great honor to be recognized by SINET, an organization that champions the very same idea.”
